Above are three pictures by Robert Frank. I really like how he captured people in every day situations during a historic time period. The first is his most famous picture and I immediately recognized it from a textbook that talked about segregation. He captured a truly pivotal and historic moment in US history. The pictures look like he wondered around the cities and took pictures, which are a type of pictures I really enjoy looking at. In the second picture, he captured a sort of pattern in the hair and clothing in the women. They seem to be in midst of conversations when they spotted him taking the picture. Personally, the last picture is my favorite. I really love when a photographer captures someone smiling, especially when its not posed. It looks natural and you can see the pure joy in their facial features. I think Robert Frank was amazing at capturing the moment and creating truly amazing photos.
